Praxis ("we", "our", "the app") is a vocabulary practice application. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

1. Information We Collect

Google Account Data: When you sign in with Google, we receive your display name, email address, and profile identifier. This is used solely for authentication and displaying your name in the app.

Score Data: Your total score is stored in our database (Google Firebase Firestore) so it can be displayed on the leaderboard.

Device Token: We collect your Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to send you push notifications such as revision reminders.

Local Data: Words you answer incorrectly are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your data is stored on Google Firebase and is only used for app functionality. Your display name and score are visible to other users on the leaderboard.

4. Data Storage

Account and score data is stored on Google Firebase (Firestore). Revision words are stored locally on your device only. We do not store any data on our own servers.

5. Data Deletion

You can sign out of the app at any time from the Settings screen. If you wish to have your data deleted from our database, please contact us and we will remove your account data.

6. Children's Privacy

Praxis is designed for educational use and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.

7. Push Notifications

We may send push notifications to remind you to practice revision words. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
